Our firemen and their families congregated on the lawn outside City Hall after the meeting Tuesday evening, bringing chills, as you couldn't be more thankful for our incredible team, and the families that so strongly support them. Wondering what it must be like to see your loved one walk out the door on their way to work, never knowing what their shift may bring them... a big shout out to ALL first responders that serve and protect our city, and their families!
I have been very blessed, you would be hard pressed to find a better view in Loveland, than the one from my office. Weddings on the lawn, kids camps and people walking dogs, food trucks, Christmas trees, the glorious and beautiful shade trees. So lucky to watch the change of seasons over the past 14 years in this building. In its 100 years, it really hasn't seen many owners, whoever the next owner is will be so lucky. So strong, this building, and so much character. We are so blessed that the firefighters were able to save the Historic buildings.
As I watched the new buildings grow, and the view changed from the hillside with the church steeple, to a congregation of friends enjoying the beautiful and trendy restaurant, Bella, Loveland developing into a more urban lifestyle with apartments, my view just changes, yet my love for the downtown does not. Having new is always good. Losing a part of our history would have been so tragic. You can't replace historic charm. You can't replace history. We can't wait for our businesses to be rebuilt. To see Gina and Tano and Cory back at it, to see Cincy fashion Wheels displaying their fabulous designs, and Gina showcasing homes. For those displaced, and trying to put their lives together again, please join us this Saturday, for the fundraiser block party. Our community together, and yes, strong.
