October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. We are in the middle of a raging and intensifying battle of spiritual warfare, and evil is all around us. St. Teresa of Calcutta would never be without her rosary, her weapon of choice. Let us all follow her example and pray ardently to gain the protection and strength that comes through this holy devotion. Pray the rosary everyday!

come pray at a Marian Shrine
dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima

We are planning a most special day on October 13th to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun, the sign given by Our Lady of Fatima so that all might believe and heed her plea to pray the rosary daily for peace and the conversion of hearts. • Confessions heard after both Masses
• 3:00 pm Divine Mercy Chaplet in Song

IN THE NEWS...

Celebrating Our Blessed Mother's Birthday
Image
A mother's birthday should ALWAYS be a big deal, but even more so when it is Our Blessed Mother. On the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, October 8th, patrons sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed delicious sandwiches provided by the Legion of Mary, birthday cake, and refreshments in honor of our beloved mother, God's gift to us!

Oh, Baby...Change is Good!
Image
I know several young mothers who will be breathing a sigh of relief at this announcement...Our Lady's Center has a brand new Koala Care changing station! No more running to the car during Mass or Storytime. Our new wall-mounted changing station is located in the women's restroom...not because clean-up duty should always be left to the woman, mind you, but because the men's room serves double duty as a storeroom for supplies. Men, if you need to change your baby's diaper, just please verify the women's restroom is vacant and lock the door until you are done. There will be a dedicated wastebasket for diapers under the station to be emptied daily. Please use it.

September Storytime Fun!
Image
We're starting to have a nice group of regulars for Storytime, with more coming each time. It's wonderful to see new friendships blossoming under Mary's gentle watch. And we are very grateful to "Mrs. Ginny" for sharing her love of children and her excellent catechizing skills with our smallest patrons. We're very blessed to have her. Sign up HERE for emailed reminders.

Terry Takes the Cake!
A Different Set Up Every Day
Image
OLC welcomed the riveting pro-life author and speaker, Terry Beatley, with a wonderful turn out and (of course) a delicious cake. Terry's talk was very well received, and she sold out of all copies of her book, "What If We've Been Wrong?" Thank you, Terry, for coming! Don't miss our next speaker on October 20th.

Our conference room can be set up for presentations and for meetings. We routinely host Defend Life speakers, story time groups, weekly Legion of Mary praesidium meetings, DVD study groups, even overflow seating for special Masses. If you have need of a meeting space, contact us to discuss.
