Good Afternoon Great Gardener,
Our Christmas Preview and Open House are coming up this weekend, November 17th (5 pm - 8 pm), 18th & 19th. I hope you can join us in celebrating the start of the Christmas season. We will be having Hogg Head's and Buckeye Winery here on Friday along with the LV High School Choir will be performing throughout the night.

We will be closed Thanksgiving day to spend time with our families. We wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day.

Don't forget Shop Small, November 25th.
As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, hit reply. I would love to hear from you. Have a great-gardening day.

Five House Plants For Beginners
Image
Spider Plant
Spider plants work great in hanging baskets making them easy to hang in any room of your house. They have variegated green with white striped leaves and survive best in bright, indirect light.
The "babies" of the plant shoot out on long stems looking like mini spiders. Babies can be easily trimmed off and potted into pots of their own.
Spider plants are one of the top 10 on NASA's list of clean air houseplants. They remove many toxic chemicals from the air.

It gets its name due to the white flowers that look like mini white flags sticking up above the foliage.
Peace Lily is another plant on NASA's list of top 10 air cleaning plants.

Sansevieria
You can't go wrong with keeping a Sansevieria in your home. Commonly called Snake plant due to its long leafy tendrils. It is a very easy-to-care-for plant.
Renowned for its air purification qualities it removes toxins such as formaldehyde and xylene from the atmosphere. It makes a very good bedroom plant as it removes carbon dioxide and produces oxygen mostly at night times.
In other countries, it is used as a welcoming offering for businesses or events.
Grow Tomato Indoors
Megabite Tomatoes
Enjoy delicious tomatoes all winter long! The 4 to 6 oz fruits are great for BLT sandwiches and salads.

Care:
Place plants a couple of feet back from a sunny window. Avoid placing up against the window as drafts can cause damage to the plant. Keep the soil moist, but avoid over watering.
