The month of September is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. Our hearts weep for our Holy Mother Church and all those who have been victimized by wolves in sheep's clothing. Make no mistake that we are battling principalities not of this world. This is spiritual warfare and the very gates of Hell are threatening. Let us turn confidently to the Blessed Mother and pray for her intercession as we fight for truth. Grab your rosaries. It is time to battle, to pray and fast for the purification of the Church.

"POWER in My HANDS"
Movie Showing at OLC

A story of HOPE and the POWER of PRAYER
Two Showings:
Wednesday, Sept. 19th at 7:00 pm
& Saturday, Sept. 22nd, 10:30 am

“Power in My Hands,” is a brand new documentary by the Rosary Evangelization Apostolate, and it comes at a time when the Church, as well as society in general, is in desperate need of healing. Let us harness the power of the rosary and battle for all we hold dear. And who is better equipped to lead us through Calvary and the Resurrection than the Blessed Virgin Mary! Her rosary has proven itself to be a powerful spiritual weapon throughout the centuries and will be again if we just heed Mary’s Fatima message and pray the rosary!

As we approach the month of October, the month dedicated to the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, this movie has the potential of "jump starting" our devotion. These showings are being sponsored by the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cenacles that meet here at OLC (see below for more info). Please RSVP to Ada Vergne HERE, and bring a
friend!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!
The World-famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue is Coming Back to OLC!
Monday, October 22nd
Image

Mark your calendars now! The miraculous Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima which visited us last year during the Tour for Peace on the 100th Anniversary of the Fatima Apparitions is returning to us this October, the month of the Holy Rosary. Visits are so rare that we did not expect another for a very long time, but the Blessed Mother knows we need her now! Let us approach her confidently knowing no one who has implored her help or sought her intercession has been left unaided.

We are planning a very special day for you all including the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Adoration, Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Fatima Prayers, Scapular Investitures and more. More information to come!
The beautiful image of Our Lady of Fatima was designed by famous sculptor José Thedim in 1947. Sister Lucia herself instructed him, and later remarked that she had never seen any image which so resembled the actual apparition of Our Lady. Learn more about the statue and the Blue Army HERE.

“If our age in its pride laughs at and rejects Our Lady’s Rosary, a countless legion of the most saintly men of every age and of every condition have not only held it most dear and have most piously recited it but have also used it at all times as a most powerful weapon to overcome the devil, to preserve the purity of their lives, to acquire virtue more zealously, in a word, to promote peace among men.” -Pope Pius XI

IN THE NEWS...

A Sweet Send-off for a New Seminarian
How appropriate that James Lancelotta Jr., the grand nephew of Our Lady's Center's founder Frank Lancelotta, would serve his final Mass here (as an altar server that is!) on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. James received permission to wear his seminarian cassock, and Fr. Justin Okoro took a moment after Mass to ask everyone to join him as he prayed a special blessing upon our James. As everyone united in prayer for him, James humbly endured the attention. As he had a meeting immediately following Mass, we had to put off our little celebration for him. The following day, however, all Mass attendees were invited to join us in the conference room to wish James well as he left for the seminary. Friends and family members, including James' proud mother Kathy, enjoyed a delicious cake and a joyful time together. Indeed Our Lord is calling forth good and holy men for the priesthood in this time of purification and renewal. Please keep James and all other seminarians in your prayers as they discern and prepare to labor in the Lord's vineyard.

Lively August Storytimes with Mrs. Ginny
We have a wonderful bunch of regular families who come to storytime, and new ones are finding us every month. The children's joyful enthusiasm for Mrs. Ginny's Storytime and Craft made for a couple lively mornings at OLC, particularly the when they learned about the Mass and made their own "altar bells" which they enjoyed ringing. Be sure to get your info added to the contact sheet to receive a reminder email on the day before each Storytime.

Annual 2000 Hail Mary's Day of Devotions
We are grateful to the Legion of Mary, Our Lady Undoer of Knots Praesidium, for once again sponsoring this incredible day of devotions. A massive amount of Hail Marys were prayed as Our Lady's intercession was sought through 20 petitions. Some stayed all day, ensuring that over 10 hours of uninterrupted prayer was accomplished and demonstratively following Our Lord's call to pray without ceasing. Thanks to all who took time out of their day to be a part of it.

OLC at the 2018 Catholic Marketing Network Conference in Lancaster
Manager Christine was excited to learn the 2018 CMN Show, the largest Catholic marketing conference in the country, would be held on the East Coast again for the first time since 2015, and as close to us as Lancaster, PA! It was a fantastic opportunity for her to connect with many of our wonderful Catholic merchandise reps, meet popular Catholic authors, and to hunt for exciting new items to feature in our store. Along with running into Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life again and having dinner with him and Janet Morena of Silent No More, Christine had books signed by Fr. Donald Calloway, Fr. Chris Alar, Vinny Flynn and many other authors. (We will be raffling them off to you soon!) Also, scroll down to see what new items we discovered that have been arriving in the store! So what was the best part of the show? Adoration, of course! Slipping into the chapel for moments with Jesus was a beautiful reminder of why we are doing all of this. It is all for Him!

A Call to Arms
Image

These are extremely troubling times. As we pray for the purification of the Church and for God's truth and justice to prevail, we need to actively prepare ourselves in three very specific ways:
1) Seek healing and the ability to forgive
2) Understand how to defend the faith
3) Arm ourselves for spiritual warfare

The battle is real, and the Holy Catholic Church is worth fighting for. Come peruse our arsenal of over 3000 Bibles and books, receive reading recommendations, and give us your input as well.
