Chef's Table - Vermont's Sweet Nectar
Maple Sugar Season is Vermont's Fifth Season (sometimes shared by Mud Season) --that special time of year when sap is collected from sugar maple trees and boiled down to make maple syrup. In this class we will use our famous Vermont maple syrup to create a special meal using the golden nectar. Real Vermont maple syrup is so special that its very presence in a dish inspires attention. $60 Hands On

Tools of the Trade - Cast Iron Classics
Cast iron has been used for cooking for hundreds of years. Cast iron's ability to withstand and maintain very high temperatures makes it a common choice for searing or frying, and its excellent heat diffusion and retention makes it a good option for long-cooking stews. $60 Hands On

In this class you will learn the proper use of 5 knives that will make food preparation easier and safer. You will also learn why there are so many different styles of knives and why each has their own purpose. Once you master the use of each knife, you will create a simple dish as your reward. $60 Hands On

THE STORE is a wonderful mix of distinctive kitchenware, gourmet gifts and decorative accessories. The old 1834 Methodist Meeting House is filled with every gadget and pot or pan a cook or chef could need, displayed along with imported pottery, cookbooks, linens, gourmet and Vermont foods, bath items, and much more – all exquisitely displayed upon antiques and over oriental rugs.

Upstairs at The Store, you’ll find an extensive collection of 19th and 20th century English and American country antiques. The best kept secret at The Store is down the hallway in the back. There you will find a beautiful kitchen where cooking classes are held. The on-premise Chef is available to answer all your questions about food or gadgets and she teaches amazing classes.
