Winter feeder visitors, like the ones in this column (including the Yellow-rumped Warbler above) are arriving from Canada and Northern states.
What are you seeing in your yard this month?

Hermit Thrushes are not flashy, but are subtly beautiful with a streaked chest and a rufous colored tail. They can be attracted with live mealworms.

You don't always see the "ruby crown" on a tiny Ruby-crowned Kinglet, unless they're agitated. Watch for them on your suet feeders.

Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers occasionally visit feeders, but are more commonly known for drilling sap wells in rows in trees.

We are very sad to share that Debbie Leathem, the former manager at our Marietta store, passed away recently after an illness. Many of you remember her sweet spirit, her love for birds and her pets, and her flair for decorating, especially Halloween and Christmas. Please hold her friends and family in your thoughts and prayers.
