I can't believe the month is almost over! Why does it always seem that time gets shorter and shorter?
I am not a big member of the New Year's Resolution gang - however this year I did add one - when I get home from the shop - no matter what time (unless of course it is a work-at-home day) I do not power up the computer! I spend time catching up with my awesome husband & working on projects that need doing. Of course that means when I get up in the morning (no matter how early) I fire up with all cylinders. It is not unusual for staff to get emails time stamped 4AM from me.... good thing I don't expect answers @ that hour!!  LOL!

So my question to you - what are you doing for YOURSELF this year? Time is just too precious not to make time for what you enjoy or want to do....  join me won't you?

Thank you for your patience during our closure / re-do / inventory ... seems sooo long ago! We are rocking & rolling with a whole new line-up of classes/ workshops to help you improve your skills & try new things! And honestly, if you are on the waitlist and HAVE been for a while we really are working hard to accomodate your wishes, we have added a few new classes as space/ staff allow! Thank you for bearing with us - you are not forgotten .....

Have you had a chance to think about what will help you be a better creator? Let us know and we can help you; in the meantime check out the workshops we have added.

Be sure to check out the Fiberside Chats - these are filled with fantastic guests and lots of great ideas & tricks of the trade. Remember if you can't make it on Sunday, you will have a whole week to review the chat, so don't miss out!
Sunday Jan 22nd, Fiberside Chats guest is going to be Kate Oates. She is a knitting pattern designer and author with almost 300 individual designs and several books: grown, knits for boys and knitting clothes kids love, & she has created a line of modern and stylish knits for adults.
Her topic for this chat is Ready, Set, PLAN.

Knitting a sweater that flatters begins with the work you put in on the front end, before even casting on. In this chat, knitters will learn all about the pre-knitting prep that goes into creating a dream sweater fit including swatching tips, taking measurements and how to choose a size based on ease and garment construction.

Have you been wanting to try weaving? Janet's next class coming up on Sun Jan 29th is the Brooks Lace project. You can create this as a fun scarf, or a short runner for the table. This class is suitable for beginners as well as those who want to expand their skills. We have looms for you to use, or bring your own if it is portable.

Both the Knit @ Crochet Sock Clubs started off with folks having a great time learning all the basics of sock knitting!
By popular request, Sharon will be doing 2 @ Time/ Toe-up/ Magic Loop next month using Twin or Super Soxx by Lang. My understanding is that the pattern will be out of the Sock Bible which many of you purchased for the Jan sock so we will not be including that in the kit, but will have some available as needed. Seating is limited, so be sure to register early (1st & 3rd Sunday).

The Feb Crochet Sock (2nd & 4th Sunday) will be the Side-to-Side sock, This one will be done in Lang's Super Soxx and out of the Annie's book that came in the Jan kit, so again this month's kit will not include the book but it can be purchased seperately.
