SAVE THE DATES!
2000 Hail Marys Days of Devotions
Saturday, May 13th

Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima
Saturday, August 12th
In anticipation of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Come pray this powerful devotion hosted by the Legion of Mary, Our Lady Undoer of Knots Praesidium, in OLC's chapel! The day will tentatively begin with 8:00 am Mass and continue with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and devotions throughout the day, ending tentatively around 5:30 pm with Benediction. The devotions begin with praying a complete Rosary, then each of 20 petitions is read and followed by 100 Hail Marys. You can sign up to pray a petition. See below for contact information.

The Legion of Mary is Recruiting New Members!
Could the Blessed Mother be calling you to her service? The Our Lady Undoer of Knots Praesidium which meets at OLC is looking for new members to join them on Friday nights in the Conference room at 5:15 pm. Members can come early and spend some time with the Lord in Adoration in the OLC Chapel. Also, our 7:30 pm Friday Night Mass, with devotions and confessions, is a wonderful opportunity for members to pray after the meetings.

Among their regular prayers and activities, our local praesidium hosts an all-day 2000 Hail Marys Day of Devotions annually as well as for important national and world events, such as elections. We can not underestimate the spiritual graces that flow from these events!

Please consider joining this vibrant, active apostolate. Learn more about the Legion of Mary HERE. For more info on the Undoer of Knots Praesidium, contact Diane Groth.

IN THE NEWS...

Changes on the OLC Board of Directors
Our Lady's Center has an all-volunteer working Board of Directors who serve out of their devotion to the Blessed Mother and carry out a wealth of duties between them. Occasionally we need to accept the request of a Board Member to be relieved of their directorship duties, hard as it can be to do so.
Image
And so, the Board must announce that it has accepted the request of Ada Vergne to step down as she transitions to a new residence and turns to a less active and more contemplative and prayerful focus. The good news is that she has not moved any farther away, and she will continue to be a regular patron and prayer warrior here at OLC, albeit in a less official capacity. We are incredibly grateful for her years of service on the Board, instituting and leading the Flame of Love Cenacle, and leading many other devotions including the Holy Face and the annual Rosary Rallies. Ada also managed the Traveling Bust and Chalice Program for years. We are deeply grateful for Ada's lively, inspiring devotion to Our Lord and Our Lady and all the service she has rendered OLC and our patrons for over a decade. We love you, Ada! (Pictured with Fr. Ambrose, Board member and Spiritual Director)

Our Lady's Center is honored to welcome Wes Daub to the Board of Directors. Wes is a Civil Engineer with the Howard County Department of Public Works and was in charge of the extensive storm water management and stream restoration project adjacent to our property. His input assisted us greatly as he skillfully navigated the needs and concerns of all involved. Wes continued his relationship with us following his retirement two years ago. His professional knowledge, as well as his skills in carpentry and building systems, are all valuable additions in the OLC "tool kit." His training in Spiritual Mentorship through the Holy Family School of Faith is also of great value, particularly as he has the experiential knowledge of a convert to Catholicism. He and his wife of 47 years, Cele, have been parishioners of St. Louis Church for 27 years. Wes has been involved in the ACTS ministry and many pro-life activities, and he is also frequent Adorer of the Blessed Sacrament. Wes and Cele have two sons and five grandsons. Be sure to congratulate and welcome Wes when you see him!
